Back On Land

Well, we are back in the USA and on dry land. Still waiting on my land legs to return....

The cruise was wonderful and in addition to a few souvenirs, I also brought back a few extra pounds from all the great food!

The only low part was when Phillip checked his email one day and found out that the sale of our house fell apart :( The woman had not done her homework and during the inspection she found out that the house was a double wide (we actually prefer the term manufactured home......) so she decided to back out. Phillip was so mad and it must have taken me three hours to remind him that we were in no worse situation then we were a week ago. The news was very depressing. I was so happy that we wouldn't have to worry about getting the dogs out of the house for showings or trying to find someone who would mow the grass after we moved, plus we would have a nice down payment for the house that we found.

Yes, we found a house! We carved out a few hours to look at houses before and after the cruise. There are tons of great houses for our price range and I am sure we could look for weeks, but we think that we may make an offer in the next few days. We both really love the house and are satisfied with the yard even if we did want something a little bigger, the only negative that really bothers us is that it is in a HOA. So we get to pay money every year so that some committee can tell us what fence we can and cannot put in our yard.

Anyway, I leave you with a picture of Phillip and I at the Mayan ruins of Tulum. Phillip hates this picture because the wind has blown his shirt up and makes him look really fat!
